Karli = Engaged

So, photographer extraordinaire/my friend, Leah Muse, had a really novel idea. Since I have this blog, which was created to showcase my work, she mentioned what a great idea it would be if I actually posted some of my work on here. She's a genius. GENIUS.

Karli and John are getting married next year in a small town about 4 hours away, but they made the trek to Austin for their engagements. Since this was the only chance to meet with Karli before her wedding day, we took advantage of the opportunity to have her Preview Session. She gave me free reign (love her!) with the one request that her eyes be the focal point (Get it?? Eyes --> lens --> focal. Man, I'm good. You can thank my high school job as an optometric assistant for that one). I ended up using pretty browns/golds/bronzes on her eyes (which made her gorgeous blue eyes POP) and a natural lip. We tied the look together by keeping the hair simple and styling with a straight-iron. She looked fabulous, but more importantly, she looks so in love. See you next year, pretty lady!
